DIY Coffee Coconut Oil Scrub

I have been really into body scrubs lately. It is important to take care of your skin, as it is your largest organ. Exfoliating is important to get rid of dead skin cells and it allows your blood to circulate making your skin glow.

One of my favorite ways to exfoliate is with this homemade Coffee scrub. Not only does it smell AMAZING but also there are tons of benefits. Ground coffee acts as an exfoliate for the skin, encouraging blood flow and is rich antioxidants that are beneficial for the skin. The coconut oil is an added benefit, leaving your skin super moisturized and rejuvenated.

The best part? You can make it right at home with ingredients that you probably already have.

Here’s how it’s done:

¼ Cup Ground Coffee

¼ Cup Brown Sugar

1 Tbsp. Organic Coconut Oil

Step 1: Measure out your ingredients.

Step 2: Mix dry ingredients together

Step 3: Once all your dry ingredients are thoroughly mixed, slowly add the coconut oil, while stirring the mixture.

Step 4: Pour mixture into an airtight jar & enjoy!

How to use:

Now, everyone is different but this is just the way that works for me.

I start by using a dry brush. This helps to get rid of the dead skin and it increases the blood flow right away.

After I have brushed the surface of my skin I go under the shower and wet my entire body. I take a small handful of the scrub and apply to the skin. You can use the scrub all over the body, although I do not recommend using it on your face, as it may be too harsh. Apply the scrub in a circular motion, massaging it into the skin. I usually used from my waist, down my legs. Once I have exfoliated, I rinse the scrub and then continue my usual shower routine.

Hope you enjoy using this scrub just as much as I do!
